If you haven’t heard of Envibum, I think you will be extremely impressed. Not only are they the makers of some great looking diapers, they are also giving back in a major way! Envibum makes premium all-in-one diapers and mom4mom diaper covers. One thing I love about the AIOs is that they are minky and I love minky. They also offer some amazing color choices! I fell in love with these diapers a long time ago and was honored to have the opportunity to try one with W. Even more amazing than the great Envibum diapers is the fact that they are committed to giving back! Depending on the color diaper you choose to purchase, a donation is made to one of a list of charitable organizations!
I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful organization for this event. I had the opportunity to choose the diaper I wanted to review and because I am a sucker for prints and for black diapers, I chose the Envichecker in black. It’s a black and white checkered diaper! I could barely wait for this diaper to arrive and when it did, I was not disappointed.
The Envibum signature packaging is great with the diaper wrapped in the checkered paper and an extra absorbency pad in the green paper. The packaging made it all seem very high quality so I was excited to get the diaper out and check it out!
The Envichecker diaper is an amazingly soft minky diaper. I love minky diapers and this is actual one of my new favorites. I also love the black and white checkered print because it’s the first time I’ve seen anything like it! Do you see the little white leaf on the tab? It’s actually loop fabric that can be used as a crossover tab if you need one for a smaller baby! We didn’t need it but I love how it’s there and that it’s more than just a square tab of fabric!
Before I go much further, I need to point out that Envibum diapers are One-Size All-in-One diapers. This is something you don’t find very often! The diaper does not have snaps to adjust the size either. Instead it features automatic proportionally adjustable rise, waist, and legs that make for a superior fit. It is designed to fit most babies between 8 and 40 pounds. This is just one of the great features that sets this diaper apart from others.
The inner is unique and unlike any other diaper in our stash. It is made from unbleached, all natural, 100% cotton with absorbency channels. These channels provide superior absorbency pulling moisture into the absorbency pad and away from the baby. Below is a close up of the inner absorbency channels.
Envibum diapers also feature natural gussets along the legs to prevent leaks and to provide comfort for the baby. These are not the same gussets as other diapers, but resemble more of a casing. We did not have any trouble with this diaper leaking although it didn’t have the true dirty diaper test. When that happens, I will be sure to update on how the Envibum handled it!
The Envichecker diaper has aplix tabs that are sewn onto the tab of fabric which I like. They also feature laundry tabs to help prevent the dreaded diaper chain.
There is one major design difference between Envibum and all of my other diapers. As I mentioned before, it is an all-in-one. Like some other AIOs such as the BumGenius and Thirsties Duo Diaper, it does feature a pocket as well. The difference is that the sewn-in absorbency pad can also flip out. It is only sewn in on one end. This makes the drying time much better than the rest of our AIOs. Once the diaper comes out of the dryer, I can pull out the pad if it isn’t out on its own and it dries extremely quickly. The pocket is also nice to have in case we need to add the extra pad for increased absorbency.
This diaper has many unique aspects that set it apart from other diapers available. I was very interested to see how the One Size feature would work as I’m very used to adjusting snaps on the front of my diapers or adjusting elastic. Not having to adjust anything and have it still be a one size diaper is very appealing. Time will tell how effective the system is and I will keep you updated.
Looking at the diaper before putting it on W, I was pretty sure that the Envichecker would be a fairly trim diaper and I was correct. It had a low-rise on W but I could pull on the diaper more to extend it slightly so I think the automatic adjustment system will work as W grows.
This diaper is also extremely trim fitting. It’s one of the most trim in our stash and fits well under all of his clothes. I like the way this diaper fits and it has not left marks on any part of W’s body. The fit around his chunky thighs is good without being too tight. The elastic stretches nicely. It doesn’t accentuate his belly either, even with a tight fit. Many of his diapers give him a muffin top when we get a good fit on them. No muffin top with Envibum!
I’m really glad that I got the opportunity to try an Envibum diaper as I’ve always liked the look of them. They are more than just a good-looking diapers. Our Envichecker diaper fits well on my chunky monkey and under his clothes, has never had a leak, and washes and dries extremely well! I love that it is a one size diaper and I hope that it lasts for quite a while on our stash. I also look forward to trying it on a newborn in the future! This is one diaper I definitely recommend if you’re thinking about trying one.
