Last month, I shared the start of my journey to finding the best wireless service that would save us money and work well enough that my husband and I could depend on it for keeping up with our fantasy football teams. And we each play in three different leagues, so there is a lot of keeping up to do!
Best Wireless for Fantasy Football Season
I’m in the final days of pregnancy and we’re about to have two children instead of just one. So we have been looking for ways to save a little bit of money. But both J and I are also very dependent on our cell phones. We don’t have a home landline so our cell phones are the way to stay in contact.
We also use quite a few apps for entertainment purposes and don’t really want to let go off those. Not even in the name of saving money. So when I heard that Walmart Family Mobile was offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 because I knew that phone could handle everything that J needs.
And when Sunday morning (and Wednesday night this season) rolls around, the one thing he needs is his fantasy football app. With a busy toddler, he doesn’t always have time to sit down and check his line ups because W wants to play with him as soon as he gets home from work.
These days, J is able to pull out the new phone and check on all of his teams. We play together in two leagues and I am determined to beat him in at least once this year. But I can’t count on W to keep Daddy distracted anymore. It’s too easy to pull out the phone and make sure everything is set for the week! He can set his line up in bed at night!
Of course he’s also able to easily check scores using the app. So all Sunday and Monday long, I know exactly what is going on with his teams and with mine. While he likes to track every single game, I take a different approach. I prefer to set my lineup and just check in once or twice to see how I’m in hanging in there.
He loves having instant access to everything fantasy football related in the palm of his hands. I’ve loved seeing how the service works for us. Our contract recently ran out with our current cell service provider so I have been debating what to do moving forward. The Family Mobile service has worked extremely well for us and we are actually making the move over! We will be saving each month and still have all the phone and service that we need!
So goodbye cell phone contract! And when J wins in a few of his fantasy football leagues this year, the prize money will go even further without having to pay a huge phone bill!
You can see my phone shopping experience in my #FamilyMobileSaves album. It was a little bumpy but I was finally able to order online. The first phone arrived with a faulty camera, but I was easily able to return it in store and order again online. It arrived overnight with free shipping so it was definitely an easy way to make a switch! And it has been easy to maintain our account with online account management and information.
So with a great phone that lets us stay on top of everything fantasy football, I can spend time putting together a few of our favorite snacks for Football Sunday. I like to whip up some goodies every few weeks and this week I wanted to share two recipes that we enjoy rather often during football season!
Favorite Football Sunday Snacks
I’ve been known to whip up a batch of cupcakes or cookies because I am always craving the sweets. But we also love a good dip with chips and one of our newest favorites is Mexi Corn Dip by East 9th Street Eats. And I have been trying to encourage my picky toddler to eat more variety so I have made Pizza Balls by Simmworks Family Blog a few times and they are a big hit!
Oh, and sometimes I can’t resist a sweet treat when I spot it at the store! We enjoyed there immensely and might need to buy them for every Sunday… or at least every other Sunday!
Once the new baby is here, I’m not sure what Sundays will look like around the house. But I do know that J will be armed and ready to stay on top of our fantasy football teams thanks to Walmart Family Mobile!
