I received an all expenses paid trip to Florida to attend the Decade of Memories media event from Experience Kissimmee. No monetary compensation was received and all thoughts and opinions are my own. This Things to Do in Kissimmee post is a recap of my favorite adventures!
5 Things to Do in Kissimmee
Before school begins, I highly suggest making your way down to Kissimmee, FL for some last-minute family time! Kissimmee, just a bit South of Orlando, is such a family friendly town, with enough activities to keep family members of all ages entertained for weeks! Here are my top 5 favorites from the trip I took in June with Experience Kissimmee:
Boggy Creek Airboat Rides
Going on an airboat to see the gators is one of those must-do activities while visiting Florida! Boggy Creek Airboat Rides is Kissimmee’s finest and is perfect for children and adults of all ages. You will love flying across the water, seeing gators and other wildlife, in their natural habitat, and it is just an overall amazing experience! Tours range in price from $27-57 for adults and $21-48 for kids (2 and under are free). I definitely recommend doing this with your family! I will never forget my ride on a Boggy Creek airboat!
ShrekFeast Brunch at the Gaylord Palms Resort
ShrekFeast is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday morning (from 8-10:30am) in the Villa de Flora restaurant within the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center grounds. Become an honorary Ogre for the day and enjoy a huge buffet, filled with delicious foods of all kinds; there’s something for everyone! You can also discover a magical fountain of ogre-green chocolate but don’t worry…it doesn’t taste like an Ogre! After dining at ShrekFeast with Shrek, Fiona, Puss in Boots and other friends, you can take some time to walk around under the gorgeous, climate-controlled atriums of the Gaylord Palms. There you will find many beautiful and unique flowers, sculptures, fish and more.. Brunch prices: $29.95 Adult (ages 13+) and $19.95 Child (ages 4 – 12).
Arabian Nights Dinner Theater
Arabian Nights’ Royal Celebration presents a tale of intrigue, magic, and love. This Orlando dinner show invites guests of all ages to witness the magnificent wedding of the beautiful Princess Amirah and the bold Prince Raswan, and the joining of the two most powerful Bedouin kingdoms, the Saglawi and the Ruala. Join us, as the magic of the great Genie and the mysterious Sorcerer take us to the corners of the earth to deliver spectacles of wonder on horseback. See the grace of the splendid Black Stallion. Admire the mystical Unicorns, last of their kind. Watch in awe as the performers for this royal wedding display daring and skill with incredible acrobatics and intricate riding. In all of its majesty, this will truly be a wedding to remember. But, perhaps, not all is as it seems. General Admission for dinner show starts at $66.99 for adults and $30.99 for kids.
Sea World Orlando
I don’t need to say much about Sea World Orlando. If you have not been to Sea World, I insist that you must go! Between the incredible animals, delicious foods and entertaining shows, Sea World has something for everyone and is a great way to spend a day (or three)! I have been a huge fan of Sea World San Diego for a long while so it was so fun to be able to see how different the Orlando one was. I really enjoyed the new rides, especially the manta (even though I was super nervous to ride!), and the new penguin ride and exhibit, Antarctica! Of course, if you go to Sea World, you MUST see the Shamu show! Man, can those whales jump (and splash)! 🙂 Even if you do not have kids, I still recommend visiting Sea World Orlando. You will not be disappointed by all the things to do! Ticket prices start out at $82 for adults and $74 for kids (3 and under are free!) or you can visit any week day for only $50!

I always enjoy staying at a hotel but now I have gotten super spoiled, having had the opportunity to stay at Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissimmee!
