Yoplait Trix Yogurt Healthy Snack

Yoplait Trix Yogurt is a Snack Time Saver

When it comes to snack time in our house, yogurt is definitely one of our staples. W thinks he’s having a great treat and I can feel good about getting some nutrition in him. Sounds like a win-win to me! Yoplait Trix yogurt is like the Yo Gabba Gabba of the yogurt world!

Bright colors and great flavors combined with a the fun Trix rabbit? How could a toddler resist?

Recently, W has become a bit more picky when it comes to snack time and meal time. He doesn’t always want to eat something healthy but yogurt is a healthy option that always brings a smile to his face. The Trix yogurt is definitely a bit more fun than mom and dad’s yogurt.

Nom Nom Nom

If W’s eating habits are any indicator of things to come, the teenage years are going to be crazy! I’m trying to develop healthy habits now. When W is older, I want him to have good eating habits. I’m not silly enough to think that health and nutrition are the only things that I need to worry about when it comes to feeding my child.

W is all about taste.

It’s just the truth. I can deny it or I can accept it and try to work with it.

Yoplait Trix yogurt helps me accept it and make choices that are good for W and good for my peace of mind.

New and Improved Yoplait Trix Yogurt

New and Improved

Do the words new and improved strike fear in your heart? They make me shiver just a little. I’ve had some favorite foods ruined by changes labeled as new and improved.

So what has changed?

Trix yogurt is now free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, and sweeteners! I know that many of my fellow moms look for products without these types of ingredients, so this kind of change is definitely a good one. I definitely try to avoid artificial ingredients as much as I can when it comes to W.

Of course it left me wondering how Yoplait got all of those great colors that the Trix yogurt is known for. Apparently in my mind, brightly colored food has to involve artificial coloring. Yoplait has set me straight! The yogurt is colored with vegetable juice and other natural coloring. Take that mom!

You learn something new everyday!

But there was a more important question burning in my mind. Would W approve of the changes?

New and Improved Yoplait Trix Yogurt

Yoplait Trix Yogurt is Toddler Approved

Well, apparently I had nothing to worry about. W has given the yogurt his toddler stamp of approval!

In case you’re wondering, his stamp of approval involves yogurt on the table, on the chair, on the floor, and even a little on the dog! But the dog enjoyed doing some taste testing as well! Dogs are great for cleaning up after toddler snack time!

I tried telling W (and the dogs) about why the Trix yogurt was good for them. 10% of his daily Vitamin A, D, and calcium needs? He could have cared less. All that mattered was that the FLAVORHERE tasted delicious and he wanted more.

For a kid who prefers crackers and fruit snacks at snack time, I loved seeing him eating yogurt like it was going out of style. Bring on the vitamins! Bring on the nutrition!

“Trix are for kids” but unwanted additives definitely are not. That’s why Yoplait® Trix® Yogurt comes in silly, swirly flavors kids love, without high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, or sweeteners. It’s still the same bright, fun, colorful snack, only better. You’ll love that they love it!

  1. WE actually love yogurt in our house. I love to always try to have vanilla on hand because I can throw in a few berries and then the kids can have whatever flavor they want that day!

    • I eat a lot of yogurt too and W used too. Then he decided he would start being picky. I was glad to see that he might be willing to let yogurt back into his world!

  2. Way to go, Yoplait! I’ll admit that when I first opened up this post, I cringed because we tend to stay away from brightly colored food like this but you had me at no high fructose corn syrup and colored with vegetable colorings! HOORAY!!! I’ll pick some up the next time I see it!

  3. My son loves Yoplait, although I reserve it for a treat because of all the artificial dyes in it! however, he would just as soon eat it as pudding! I am glad they are taking out the high fructose corn syrup so go Yoplait!

  4. I’m glad to hear about the changes! I hate artificial dyes, so stopped buying Trix yogurt. We will have to try it again!

  5. We’ve been eating Yoplait Trix Yogurt all week long! I am shocked by how much I like the Cotton Candy flavor. Who knew?

  6. I don’t keep snack time healthy :( I always reach for the sweets. I’ll have to try cotton candy and see if it satisfies my craving!

  9. Mariah I have to agree! My boys are teen/pre-teen and they LOVE Trix yogurt! The 11 more so than the 14 yr old, but it’s a great, simple, healthy snack and so easy to keep stocked up in the fridge!

  10. Mariah,
I haven’t checked their Ingredients list recently. I was never a fan of Trix, as I remember at one time they’ve used Corn Syrup for their products, so I only use brands with all truly good ingredients for the blood sugar control for our kids. Again, I don’t remember if they changed their ingredients.

  13. I hated giving my kids this yogurt because, for me, seeing that rabbit just reminded me of sugary cereal so I am so happy to hear that they no longer have those additives in them and I can go back to buying them – guilt free :)
