Ubooly Comes to Life

Ubooly for the Techy Kid

W may only be 2 but he’s all about the technology. It doesn’t surprise me at all. And I’m working to figure out the balance of everything and how we will manage it going into the future. Plus, my students at school love trying out new technology as well. So when it comes to tech, I’m always on the lookout for products that appeal to kids.

Enter Ubooly.

Ubooly Stuffed Animal with a Brain

Meet Ubooly

Ubooly is an extremely soft stuffed friend. With the help of an iPhone or iPod (4th or 5th generation), he comes to life and engages kids in interactive play. I love that it is truly interactive. And although it’s designed for children ages 4-9, W loves laughing and “talking” to his. As a mom, I also love that each month there is new content added. So many tech toys for kids that involve apps, don’t expand in any way.

Ubooly definitely has many other apps beat in terms of how long the kids will be interested. As a teacher I love that Ubooly communicates and encourages kids to listen! It’s extremely interactive and adorable too!

Oh, and I have to mention that the company is based in my hometown of Boulder, Colorado. That makes them even more awesome! Amazing things come out of Boulder and Ubooly is another thing to add to the list!

Meeting Ubooly

W was thrilled to meet Ubooly before I even added the technology aspect. I think it has to do with the fact that the little critter just seems to be the perfect size for tucking under his arm. Ubooly has been all over our house. He had a near dive into the tub one afternoon as well, but I put my mom lifeguard skills to use. (I was making sure to save my iPod!)

Ubooly is great if you have an extra iPod or an old iPhone lying around. We used to have J’s old iPhone until W dropped it when it wasn’t in a case and broke the screen. So I have been letting him use my iPod. That works out okay until I want to use my iPod! But we’re making it work because it is such a hit.

W loves dancing to Ubooly’s music and I just love seeing what reaction we can elicit. Yes, I might enjoy it as much as W does. I just might. It’s entirely possible.

Ubooly is Love by my Kid!

Ubooly getting some love!

Moms are some of the most savvy mobile users and so are their kids. Ubooly is a toy designed for this new high-tech generation. While learning and sharing new content every week, Ubooly is the only toy that grows with your child. It encourages listening skills, and a break from high-energy / high-stimulation play. Through stories & interactive games, Ubooly’s curiosity is sure to awaken the creativity within your child’s imagination.

Ubooly is the hot toy of the season, it’s new to the scene and is on track to sell out this winter! Free updates through Wi-Fi creates ongoing entertainment for kids.
