Tophatter Online Auctions
I recently discovered the online auctions at Tophatter.com and was intrigued. I’ve been shopping using online auctions for years. The concept wasn’t new to me so I was interested in seeing what Tophatter had to offer! Each day different auction themes are presented throughout the day.
The first thing I noticed about the site was that it seemed to be very craft and DIY oriented. If you’re looking for lots of craft supplies, Tophatter.com could be an excellent resource. But there are also a large number of jewelry auctions. I watched a few of the jewelry auctions and spotted some items that I thought were great deals!
I was able to get in on a technology auction by watching the schedule of auctions at the bottom of the front page of the website. It featured a number of tablets, mp3 players, and video cameras. Definitely my kind of auction! Still, I felt called to some of the jewelry pieces available. Grambo has recently started wearing more jewelry.
So I thought Tophatter might be a great place to get a necklace as a holiday gift for her!
You can watch the auction avatars and it’s like being at a real auction. That is definitely a design difference from other auction sites I shop on. There are also chat options so the seller can chat with the bidders during the auction. Oh, and the auctions don’t last days and days either. They each last just a few minutes! So you know if you won or not very quickly!
Of course, it’s not always easy to win what you want. But eventually I was able to win a beautiful necklace for Grambo for Christmas! I think she is going to love it! I also learned about the seller’s Etsy shop. As I’ve explored more auctions, it seems that Tophatter is another outlet for many Etsy artists!
