Teaching Gratitude #KleenexCares

Teaching Gratitude & Caring

With the holiday season knocking on the door, many people have giving and others on their mind. But I strive to be thankful throughout the entire year. And one of my goals as a parent is to teach W from a young age to be grateful and to care for others. Life is just too short to not stop and appreciate all that you have. So teaching gratitude and caring is something I’ve been working on with W since he was born.

When we spend time with his friends, I model sharing and thanking the other children. With cold and flu season settling in around here, we’ve had some opportunities to do little things to take care of our sick friends. From dropping off a bag filled with little goodies like hot tea and cough drops to buying more Kleenex for a fellow teacher, W and I have already been busy!

Although the holiday season is definitely a time when we focus on giving to others, I hope to teach my son that thinking of others is something we need to do all year round!

Kleenex Cares about Sharing #KleenexCares

Sharing Kleenex Means Sharing Comfort

The Kleenex Care Pack has been a great way for W and I to give to our friends this year. We have shared it with friends and even sent some overseas to the soldiers we send care packages to each month. My teacher friends have enjoyed receiving the care packs because kids are going home sick from school left and right these days.

Most of all, I’m enjoying giving to others during this season of thanks and celebration. Even the smallest of gifts or kind words can make a difference in someone’s day. Especially if they have the sniffles!

You can share a care pack with someone you know too! All you have to do is visit your local retailer and purchase a Kleenex Brand Bundle Pack. Then redeem the code on the box by visiting Kleenex.com. It’s that easy to send a special little gift to someone you know. Learn more about #KleenexCares on the Kleenex Facebook page too!

Who would you send a Kleenex Care Pack to this cold and flu season?

Formula Mom Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in an ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of the Kleenex brand and received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  3. I would send a pack to each of the teachers in my sons school. There are 103 students, so that wouldn’t be such a hard task. They would love these supplies at this time of year.
