Stylish Tailgating Ideas
Football season is right around the corner. I have a brand new backyard this football season complete with a great deck for entertaining. I’m ready to do some tailgating! I would love to have our friends and family over to party in style. Our old house had a yard about the size of a postage stamp (might be a slight exaggeration but only a slight one) so we now have a lot of space to fill! Luckily I can easily daydream about my dream backyard and stylish tailgating ideas!
My Dream Backyard with Sears
The other day I spent nap time looking through the Sears Outdoor Catalog. You can check it out by clicking on the photo above. I really want to just transport the cover photo right to our deck. No matter how hard I tried to visualize it nothing ever appeared. Bummer!
Oh well, I love doing online window shopping because I can squeeze it in when there is time. And I don’t have to worry about W throwing a fit while we’re shopping. It’s just perfect!
Then I discovered this amazing outdoor furniture set by Ty Pennington in the Sears Outdoor Catalog. I would say this fits perfect into my idea of stylish tailgating ideas! My friends could relax in style! I love the clean lines and modern design. It also looks extremely comfortable which is my number one criteria! I don’t want something ugly but I need it to be comfy!
The great thing about the catalog is that I was able to get a quick overview of everything Sears had to offer before I started surfing on their website. It saved me time and also gave me some great ideas for pieces I might want to put together! I’m all about inspiration! Once you find a piece that you love, the rest of the room or space just seems to come together!
Inspiration with Sears Style
Sears also offers the Sears Style Hub which is a different way to find inspiration. They offer a quiz to discover your outdoor style and I was surprised to see what the quiz had to say about me! You can find out more about my outdoor style in my #SearsPatio Dream Tailgating Backyard Google+ album!
I was able to find suggestions based on my outdoor style and even design a virtual backyard! It was a lot of fun and gave me some great ideas for my dream backyard! So, I headed to Sears.com to start creating a Polyvore dream board! If you haven’t tried Polyvore, it’s a great way to create dream boards for design and fashion! Check out my plans for our deck and backyard!
Tailgating Fun for All Ages
I couldn’t leave out my little man, W. Most of our friends now have at least one child and most of the kids are under 5 so my dream backyard would have something fabulous to keep them busy! Then maybe I could actually sit down and enjoy some food. Doubtful because W has like a sixth sense about when I’m eating something.
I still dream of one day having a fabulous swingset for him. We have the perfect space in our yard for it. It was good to know what kind of investment I would be making. Now I can start saving for it! Then we might be ready to buy when he’s actually big enough for it!

Since we just finished up with the front yard we are now in need of changing up the back yard so I love that so much is going on at Sears (my hubby’s favorite store). I might have to peruse the catalog to see if anything catches my eye.
