Run for Hope on Easter Weekend in The Woodlands, TX (Local Happenings)

Share:

Next weekend is Easter weekend and it will be filled with many families spending time together at church and at egg hunts. Sunday will be a busy day for my family as we visit with family and have our own family egg hunt! On Saturday, I will be doing something a bit different. I will be participating in the Run for Hope in The Woodlands, Texas.

Run for Hope Woodlands, TX

Run for Hope is a 5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk coordinated by Love Fosters Hope!

Love Fosters Hope is a project of WE:ACT that assists children in foster care that have been abused, abandoned, and neglected. Run for Hope is a fundraising event and the goal is to raise $50,000. As of today they have raised over $8,500!

If you’re in the Houston or Woodlands area, there is still time to sign up and join me in the Run for Hope. I will be walking the 5K with my mom and W, but I encourage you to sign up for either the 5K or the 1 mile fun run. It’s a great way to get out and get active while helping out a great cause!

Entry fees range from $15 to $85 depending on the race and the age of the entrant. Full details can be found on the Run for Hop website at runforhopewoodlands.org and there is still time to sign up!

What will you be doing over Easter weekend? Will you be out getting active or maybe raising money for those in need?

  1. I love The Woodlands. I lived there for 20-some-odd years–raised kids there. Its a lovely area and I hope the run/walk goes well.
