J works in plumbing supply, so I figure we might talk about plumbing and plumbing fixtures more than other families. One thing I have learned from my husband during our almost four years of marriage is how to plunge a toilet well. I was lacking in my toilet plunging skills and he gave me some pointers. One thing he hasn’t been able to solve for me is the fact that once you pull the plunger out of the water, there is dripping water and germs to contend with!
Rubbermaid has come to my rescue with the Clean & Dry Plunger!
The Rubbermaid Clean & Dry Plunger is protected with NeverWet™ coating, which forms a protective shield around them that water cannot penetrate. So it helps keep your bathroom cleaner by reducing the amount of germs and bacteria that are spread when water drips from your plunger onto your floors or in your cabinets! It was like the knew what was going on in my house and solved the problem!
One feature completely unrelated to germs and dripping plunger water that I like about the Rubbermaid Clean & Dry Plunger is that it is more compact that the old traditional plunger that we had before. It fits much better in our cabinet! I plan on getting one for every bathroom in our house. Then I won’t have to worry about the insides of my cabinets getting wet with germy toilet water!
It really does work too! I definitely had to try it out a few times to make sure that it wasn’t too good to be true. Every time I pulled it out of the water, the water beaded up and ran off the plunger. I managed to catch a photo of a few beads of water to show you. The proof is right there!
Rubbermaid has a few tips for the care of the Clean & Dry Plunger:Repels water, bacteria and other things
- The unique NeverWet™ coating is affected by the natural oils in your skin, touching the protective coating may impact product performance.
- Should you want to clean your plunger, bleach is recommended. Do not clean with soap as it will diminish the performance of the NeverWet™ coating.
I’m glad I read these tips because I had never considered that my plunger might have specific directions to ensure that it worked properly. I just plunged away! I’m excited because now I can teach J a few things about plunging a toilet! I’m sure he will be extremely impressed!
The Rubbermaid Clean & Dry Plunger is available for purchase at Meijer, The Home Depot, Menards, Target, Wal-Mart and Rubbermaid.com for $12.99. It is a bit pricier than the old standard plunger I own but it definitely feels like it will last longer and I have had better plunging results using it!
