Although our stroller has a very generous canopy, when W falls asleep in it I have always wished there was a way to keep the sun out just a little bit more. I’ve draped blankets over it but then I worry that he’s too hot or if I use a light blanket, it doesn’t block out the sun very well. So, when I came across the SnoozeShade, I was extremely interested.
The SnoozeShade is a unique blackout blind for strollers.
It helps babies stay asleep longer when out and about in the stroller and can protect them from harmful UV rays and wind. With UPF50+ sun protection, the SnoozeShade Original can be used all year round and it fits under most standard rain covers.

Just as claimed, the SnoozeShade fit easily on to our Jeep Liberty stroller by Kolcraft. I simply pulled it out of the storage bag and popped it right on to the stroller. The sizing was extremely generous so I’m sure it would fit on an even larger stroller.
I liked the fabric. It is 100% polyester and feels extremely breathable. Although I liked the idea of sun protection and providing a darker environment for W if he was sleeping in the stroller, I was worried about the heat factor. So far, it hasn’t seemed to be in hotter in the stroller than when we don’t have the SnoozeShade on. It’s just too darn hot this summer whether you’re using a stroller or not!
I will admit that W has yet to fall asleep in the stroller since we received the SnoozeShade. Lately he has taken to sitting up while we walk and leaning forward to look at everything. I have used it to shield him from the sun on some of the hotter days and I have been pleased with how it works. One of these days, he will go to sleep again! This fall, I plan to begin training to walk a half-marathon and I look forward to taking W with me on the weekends, so the SnoozeShade will get a lot of use. I’ve been keeping it in the storage bag and leaving it in the basket beneath the stroller. It’s so compact that there is still plenty of room for everything else!
One of my favorite features is the “Sneak-a-Peek” zipper which allows you to peek in and check on your baby! It definitely amused W for me to open and close it, playing a game of Peek-a-Boo with him!
