Nanoblock, the world’s smallest toy building blocks, was designed in Tokyo and employs a patented double feather design to lock pieces firmly together. Each set includes 150 to more than 500 pieces. There are 3 different series of nanoblocks available including the Mini Series, Sites to See, and Deluxe Series. The Ohio Art Company has been named as the exclusive U.S. distributor for nanoblock. I have been an Ohio Art fan for quite a while so I was interested in checking out the nanoblock sets.
I received the Koala Bear nanoblock set. He is part of the Mini Series and I have to admit that he’s pretty cute! The nanoblock sets are recommended for ages 8+ and this is definitely a good recommendation because the blocks are tiny! The koala bear set has over 150 pieces and when it is completed it measures approximately 2.25” wide by 1.25”deep by 3.375” tall which means it fits right in the palm of your hand! That’s how small these blocks are! When J saw the set for the first time he said, “Well, W can’t have those for 10 years!” It was a pretty accurate assessment. He was off by just a few years but better safe than sorry!
I love the details on the koala bear nanoblock set and there are 11 other animals available in the Mini Series. I think I would love to have them all and display them on a shelf once they are done! If you’d like to see a nanoblock build in action, check out the nanoblock Koala Bear in action!
You can purchase your own nanoblock set online at Toys ‘R Us or Amazon. I found the Koala Bear nanoblock set for $8.25 on Amazon and it qualifies for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25!
