Juppy Baby WalkerDo you have a little one who is ready to start walking with support but your back just can’t handle holding him up? I feel your pain! The Juppy Baby Walker promises to relieve this pain so when I had the opportunity to try it for myself, I jumped at the chance! The Juppy Baby Walker is a training aid for teaching your baby how to walk while reducing the stress on your back. Although W is not really trying to walk on his own or even pull up very often, there are many times when I go to pick him up and he stands right up and wants to try to toddle about. This quickly becomes tough on my back so I was definitely interested in seeing how the Juppy would work.

JuppyParents often hold their babies by the hands or under the arms to teach them to walk. This causes stress and strain on the lower back of the parent and can cause injuries to the child’s arms or joints. The Juppy Baby Walker reduces pain and eliminates the possibility of injuries. It is definitely a great idea.

The Juppy comes in a carrying bag with a drawstring and would tuck into your diaper bag if you needed to take it with you. The carrying bag coordinates with the color of the Juppy. It is available in pink, blue and black so there is something for everyone. It works for babies of all sizes and is adjustable to get the best fit for the parent. The Juppy is also machine washable in the gentle cycle cold water with air dry. So it is convenient in many ways!

Juppy Baby WalkerI was worried that W would be too big for the Juppy. I figured his length wouldn’t be a problem but I was worried about his belly fitting in there! The Juppy zips up in the back so there really wasn’t anything to worry about. If I had to try to fit him in the walker without the zipper I’m pretty sure that it would be impossible. The zipper is definitely an essential so I’m glad that it was included!

Juppy Baby WalkerIt was actually fairly easy to get W into the Juppy and he was entertained from the start! At first he thought he was in some sort of jumper which I think comes from his experiences in his jumparoo and a doorway jumper but as I helped him move around, he started to get the hang of it.

It definitely reduced the strain on me some so that was welcome. I don’t know how long I could last but luckily he doesn’t have a very long attention span and doesn’t spend much time doing one thing before he is ready to move on to the next!

The fit was definitely snug on W but he did fit in the Juppy. It zipped up without a problem. As he becomes more and more mobile, I think he will slim out some and then the Juppy will fit even better. I am 5’8″ and I adjusted the straps to the longest setting before I felt fairly comfortable with the walker. I don’t know how well it would work for someone taller although they would also have longer arms so it might balance it all out.

Overall, this product definitely relieves the strain and there was no way W was going to fall on his own so those claims are true. I also like that it is machine washable because W is in a stage where he gets dirty all the time! Whether he is army crawling across the floor or enjoying his dinner in his high chair, there is bound to be a mess! At least with the Juppy Baby Walker clean up is a breeze!
