Little Toader

On Wednesday I discussed the Appeteether we had the opportunity to review from Little Toader. We also had the opportunity to review their Storybook PJs as well. The Storybook PJs are a book and pajama set where the pajamas help to tell the story in the book!

Little Toader Storybook PajamasThe print on the pajamas correlates to the images in the book and all of the illustrations are done in a watercolor type of drawing. I really enjoyed the colors in the book and on the pajamas, although I will admit that to me the pajamas lean a bit more towards the girl side of things despite being unisex.

I enjoy the matching book and pajama set because anything that can be added to a reading routine to encourage the development of a love for reading is wonderful! This would also make a nice addition to a nighttime routine which we are lacking a bit at the moment.

The book is a good, quality board book so it can withstand the roughness of little hands and mouths. It tells the story of a little girl who goes on an adventure through dreamland and it is easy to identify the characters on the pajamas in the book. It’s a nice book to add to W’s library. He has a lot of paperback and hardcover books, so new board books are always welcome!

The pajamas are 100% cotton and described as snug fitting for safety. Based on this description and the sizing chart, I selected the 18-24 months size for W. Based on the measurements, I figured it would fit and have a little room to grow. I didn’t want it to be too small and I didn’t want it to be huge.

Last month, W weighed in at nearly 23.5 pounds and was 30 inches long. According to the chart, the size 18-24 months fits 25-30 pounds and 32-35 inches. When I first opened the pajamas, I thought they looked decent in size and comparable to other 18-24 month clothing we have.

Little Toader Storybook PajamasApparently I was slightly off because getting W into them was a bit of a chore! He is definitely a chunky guy as he isn’t mobile yet and is only 7 months old. His thighs have some nice rolls on them. Yes, he is that round baby with cheeks that are perfect for pinching. I was able to get W into the pajamas but they were snug as you can see in the photo.

When he moved, his thighs did pop the zipper open but I was able to get it closed again once I took him out of the pajamas. I do like the fabric that the pajamas are made from as it was very soft and I can see W being very comfortable in these if they were a bit bigger. So, I would recommend this cute book and pajama set, I would just recommend that you size up at least one size (like I did) but possibly even 2 sizes if you have a bigger than average baby!

Even if they are too small, he looks so stinkin’ cute in that picture that I had to leave a comment! That’s a great idea coupling jammies with a storybook….I love it :)
