When Peter Rabbit Organics was first started, the Peter Rabbit team made 3 promises. These promises were that everything they made would always be 100% organic, 100% healthy, and 100% delicious. I can tell you from personal experience that they have kept all of these promises! Peter Rabbit Organics was started because it was difficult to find healthy snacks with no added salt or sugar. These are the qualities of Peter Rabbit Organics that definitely appealed to me. Peter Rabbit Organics Logo

My original plan was to do baby led solids when W was 6 months old. Well, he showed an interest in solids much earlier so I my plans changed. I’ve talked about how our journey into solids began when he was around 4 months old. Now we’ve started doing some baby led things, but I’m still giving him purees and I’ve come to discover that he is a fan of the organic baby food. He will eat pretty much anything (except baby turkey!) but he definitely prefers the organic baby food, especially those with blended flavors.

I had heard of Plum Organics before but I was interested to see what other brands were available. I first discovered Peter Rabbit Organics when my fellow blogger, April of Mama on a Green Mission, had the opportunity to try a variety of the Peter Rabbit flavors. After reading her review, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try them with W!

Peter Rabbit Organics offers 4 fruit snacks:

  • Apple & Grape
  • Mango, Banana & Orange
  • Peach & Apple
  • Strawberry & Banana

They also offer 3 veggie blends:

  • Carrot, Squash & Apple
  • Pea, Spinach & Apple
  • Sweet Potato, Corn & Apple

The fruit snacks are 100% fruit and the veggie blends only contain 100% fruit and vegetables. There is absolutely nothing else added to these! If you read the back of the pouches you will see the list of ingredients. No added sugar, salt, or water!

Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Snacks & Veggie Blends

We received 6 pouches to try, 3 of the fruit snacks and the 3 veggie blends. We did not have the opportunity to try the Peach and Apple, but if it’s anything else like the other flavors, I’m sure it’s delicious!

I love the pouches for a few reasons. The first is that I can toss them in a Tupperware on our pantry shelf and they take up less room than all of those baby food jars! I also like that the pouches are BPA-free. Although I’m not one of those people who is obsessed with BPA but I do appreciate knowing a product is BPA-free. I also like how easy the lids screw on and off. I don’t have to worry about any spilled food. The pouches are squeezable which eliminates the need for a spoon with older children.

One of my favorite aspects of the Peter Rabbits Organics pouches is that they work with the Boon Plum Dispensing Spoon. The spoon was designed for Plum Organics and fits on the end of the pouches, but the wonderful thing is that it also fits on the Peter Rabbit Organics pouches! This makes taking these pouches on the go even more convenient!

The Boon spoon is wonderful for us right now because W loves to grab for any bowls and spoons that get near him. This helps keep things a bit cleaner because the only part he can get his hands on is the spoon itself. Lately, W has been eating an entire pouch in a sitting so there hasn’t been a need to squeeze any out into a bowl. But I love that I can squeeze out what we need and put the pouch in the fridge. We also don’t warm up our food, but if we did we could just set the pouch in a bowl of water to warm it up or squeeze it out and warm it in a pot. The important thing to remember is that you should not microwave these pouches!

W eats well straight from the pouch and once he learns to squeeze the pouch and suck out the food, these will be amazing on-the-go snacks! Each one contains a full serving of fruits or vegetables so they are a great way to get closer to the goal of 5 a day! (In the photo below, W could not stop looking at a reflection of the sun through our blinds which would normally make for a messy eating situation but not with the Peter Rabbit Organics pouch!)

Eating Peter Rabbit Organics Sweet Potato, Corn, and Apple

Of course, things can still get messy once W’s hands get involved! The photo below is proof! He enjoyed his Carrot, Squash, and Apple so much that he even had it in his eyebrows!

Peter Rabbit Organics baby food is GOOD!

I would highly recommend that you try Peter Rabbit Organics if you’re exploring pre-made baby food options, especially if you want organic! I have tried all 6 of the flavors we received just as W did. They were all delicious and I would happily eat them as a snack in the future. My favorite flavor is Mango, Banana, and Orange. Weston is a fan of all of the veggie blends, including Pea, Spinach, and Apple! I wasn’t sure if he would be a fan of it, but he didn’t even make a face on the first bite. Now that is proof that these are pretty tasty!

I really enjoyed our Peter Rabbit Organics pouches for all of the reasons that first interested me when I visited the Peter Rabbit website.

  • 100% organic
  • 1 serving of fruit per pouch
  • Sugar free
  • BPA-free
  • Convenient for on the go!
  • Tasty flavors!

What more could you ask for if you’re not making your baby food yourself? Not much! Peter Rabbit Organics makes me feel much better about the fact that I’m not making my own purees or doing a completely baby led approach to solids.
