Helping Baby “Sleep Like a Baby” with Mumoocie

We are a co-sleeping, bed-sharing family. It’s not something I necessarily planned on doing but it is what has worked for us so far. Plenty of people have given me their opinions on the issue but if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that every family has to figure out what works best for them! We’ve fallen into a routine where W goes to bed about 8:30 each night but J and I do not go to bed until 10:30 at the earliest. W sleeps very well when one of us is in the bed with him but when he doesn’t have a warm body or pillow around, he can be restless. I recently discovered a product that I hoped would help W sleep better when we aren’t right next to him in the bed.

Mumoocie is a curved body pillow that helps any member of the family sleep like a baby!

Mumoocie body pillow

Mumoocie is a patented cozy curved body pillow that is designed to retain body heat and scent to help achieve a more soothing and restful sleep. The pillow comes in two different styles including a fiber filled version and a memory foam version. They are designed to give different levels of support and comfort and both feature a washable cover which is essential for those with a young child!

We received a memory foam Mumoocie to try with W. The memory foam pillow is heavier than the fiber filled version and is the recommended product for toddler use. The memory foam Mumoocie measures 23 inches long by 9 inches wide by 6 inches thick. I liked how thick the pillow was because of the height it gave when next to W on the bed.

The Mumoocie has worked well for us and helped W sleep better until one of us joins him in bed. I’m hoping it will also help ease the process to his own bed when the time comes. Mumoocie offers an optional voice recorder that can be inserted inside the pillow and I may purchase one when we begin working on the transition!

  1. This is pretty interesting find. That pillow would have the same effect as sleeping with mother…with the advantage of not actually being there:)

these are awesome. It gives the lil ones comfort of someone being there when you aren’t. Like that it has a removable cover for easy washing.

  3. The memory foam for sure. This would be great to use on the side so that baby doesn’t roll and I could see myself using it during breastfeeding as well.

  4. Such a neat concept! We’ve never co-slept except the first 2 weeks home from the hospital when my son was born because I couldn’t get him to go to sleep in his crib. But I can see how it could be great for co-sleeping, and for transitioning to their own bed!
