Being Prepared with Mom on the Go Kit

Wake up. Make breakfast. Play with W. Eat lunch. Go to work. Go to the gym. Make dinner. Spend time with W. Go to bed. Repeat.

That is the story of my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. But it is definitely busy! As a mom I’ve also learned how important it is to be prepared. Only once have I forgotten the diaper bag when headed out and about. It wasn’t fun either! I have never forgotten since.

But what about me as mom? As a teacher, some of the best advice I got was to have an emergency kit for me in my classroom. A bag with things like deodorant, contact solution, couch drops, and other little things in case some of those minor things came up. Then I would always be prepared! I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to realize this would be the perfect thing to have as a mom too!

I was a mom on a mission to make a Mom on the Go Kit!

The Health & Wellness department of Sam’s Club might seem like a strange place to begin putting together a Mom on the Go kit. But let’s face it, I seem to get scratched and scraped almost as often as W. I keep bandages in the pockets of my purse and in my wallet to make sure I have them.

I’ll also admit that we were running low at home. With a busy toddler, I cannot run out of BAND-AIDs! They are like magic and help dry the tears of my little man. They also help protect his bug bites from being scratched and scratched and scratched. Considering that it still feels like summer around here most days, we are still battling mosquitos!

So when I heard about on the BAND-AID ® Brand Adhesive Bandages with QUILTVENT® Technology, I was intrigued. J was interested too! He uses bandages far more often than I do and he wanted to check out the new QUILTVENT® feature.

Getting 180 bandages for less than $10? Count me in! That is enough to stock all 4 of our bathrooms, the kitchen cabinet, my purse, and have some to put in my Mom on the Go kit! That is great value that also saves me time shopping. I won’t have to shop for bandages for quite a while!

If I bought these separately at my local store, I would pay at least $18 – $20 to get this many bandages. Yay for saving enough money to buy myself some lunch! Every mom deserves a treat now and then!

I mean, look at how many boxes I got for under $10! Even without the bonus Winnie the Pooh box, it would be a great value! So, the point is that I added it to my cart and took it home. And I couldn’t be happier!

QUILTVENT ® Technology

While I was upstairs working on putting together my Mom on the Go kit for my purse, I got distracted by J. He is all about checking out the  QUILTVENT ® Technology. So even though I was hesitant to open a bandage when no one needed one, I gave in. He can be persuasive when he wants to learn about something new.

I’m all about people exploring and learning no matter how old they are. So we opened one up!

We were impressed to be able to actually see the quilt design. It’s designed to provide great breathability and wick away blood to keep wounds clean. I know that keeping owies covered helps them heal faster so any improvements on that is good by me. As a mom, I want W in top shape. I also don’t want to have to battle infection or anything like that.

But anyway… once I let J check out one of the BAND-AID ® Brand Adhesive Bandages with QUILTVENT® Technology, I was able to finally get to work on my kit!
