I have a confession.
I am addicted to throw blankets.
I use them when I’m curled up on the couch. I like to have a few extra in our bedroom in case I get chilly. I actually have one in the backseat of my car too!
My blankets have to be soft and easy to wash. Recently I discovered a blanket that has quickly become one of my favorites (when I can get it away from W).
Minky Couture offers soft minky blankets in a variety of sizes so there is something for everyone in the family. I absolutely adore all of W’s minky blankets. Unfortunately I hadn’t seen an adult minky blanket although I would love to have one. Well, Minky Couture came to my rescue! As soon as I learned that they had an adult size blanket, I was ready to try it!
We received a Minky Couture Adult Blanket it Hot Fudge. Hot Fudge is a rich, chocolate-brown color that worked perfectly in my living room. It would also be great in my bedroom if W would ever let me take it upstairs! The adult blanket measures 50 inches by 60 inches and is the perfect size to cuddle under!
So many of my throw blankets are just a bit too small. I have trouble getting covered up the way I want to. There’s always a foot or a knee hanging out. I don’t have this trouble with my Minky Couture blanket!
W loves the rich minky fabric and the satin ruffle around the edge. It’s a great blanket to put down on the floor for him to play on. He loves the soft texture of it. We have been using the blanket downstairs in our living room. I did manage to snag it one evening when I was chilly while sitting on the couch.
It’s hard to take the blanket away from a little guy when he smiles at me like that! So I just try to get him to share with me whenever I can. In the evenings he will sit with me on the couch and cuddle under the Minky Couture blanket with me. I love those moments.
In case you’re wondering why I need a throw blanket in the summer, my usual seat is right under the air conditioning vent. When it turns on sometimes it’s like I go from comfortable to shivering. Everyone else looks at me like I’m weird but they don’t sit by the vent!

The blanket is great for cuddling under thanks to its generous size (and they offer an even larger Monster Minky which would be great for J). It’s also great for a little extra comfort when playing on the floor. W has a pallet he naps on in the living room and he enjoys napping on the Hot Fudge Minky Couture blanket.
Recently he discovered that it’s also good for something else…
That is his bean bag chair covered with the Minky Couture blanket! I’m not exaggerating when I said that the child is a huge fan of the blanket! I will admit that the bean bag is definitely cozier with a minky cover than the plain fabric cover it has! He’s a smart cookie!

My mom actually just “borrowed” our Adult Minky Couture blanket from the living room one night after W had gone to bed. She’s been using it in her room now! I don’t think I’m ever going to get a chance to use it! I may have to get another one for myself! I’ll have to hide it! I guess that’s a sign that Minky Couture is Formula Mom approved!

I have one of their blankets and it is the softest warmest blanket that I have ever seen. I love that there is a slight ruffle along the edge of some of there blankets this ruffle will not interfere with the overall comfort of this blanket because it i so well done. I would highly recommend purchasing one of their wonderful blankets. This review does a great job of representing these wonderful blanket. these will easily become a child’s favorite.

This would be so great while sitting on the couch on a cold winter evening and keeping yourself toasty warm. And I like that it is machine washable, a big plus for me.

I am not keen on this type of commercial mass produced blanket, but adore handwoven pieces such as Bolivian frazadas or Moroccan wedding blankets…for me it has to be hand woven/made out of natural materials…then its love!
