Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

I have seen breast cancer tear families apart. We are blessed to have Grambo living with us as such an important piece of the family puzzle. W depends on her as much as he depend on J and I. I don’t want anything to threaten the health of my mother and I. I want  W to grow up with us by his side.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Although neither of us has had to fight against breast cancer, I am all about supporting any work against the disease that has plagued so many moms. No child should have to lose their mom to breast cancer. I lived through watching a friend of mine lose her mother to cancer at a young age. It has stuck with me the rest of the my life.

The American Cancer Society is working to help people across the nation battling breast cancer while striving to find a cure. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are designed to raise awareness in communities around the nation while honoring breast cancer survivors. They are about education and raising money to work towards a cure. They are about passion in action.

  1. great article Mariah!

  2. You’re inspiring me. I have donated before but I’ve never walked or raised money. I might need to now.

  3. Cancer- in all forms- just sucks. It is so scary and painful for everyone involved. I am so proud of everyone who walks and donates and researches to support the cause. I believe there will be a cure in our lifetimes. Way to go!!
