Oh, the Disney Memories
Many of my favorite moments in my life are Disney memories. Whether they are tied to a trip to Disney World or a particular Disney movie, I have quite a few memories stashed away. My honeymoon to Disney World is definitely one that sits at the top of the list. It was an amazing week spent in Florida at the parks including a gorgeous stay at the Contemporary Resort.
Although it rained much of the time we were there (and it seemed like the entire country of Brazil had flown in as well), we had a blast! Nothing like spending your first week as husband and wife eating fabulous food and riding amazing rides! It was amazing to experience the parks with my husband for the first time.
Disney World holds many of my favorite family memories including the Thanksgiving I spent there with my mom and sister. It was the first time my mom had ever been! I wanted to make sure she saw it before she turned 50 because she had been dreaming of it all of her life.
W’s first Halloween costume was courtesy of the Disney Store, adding yet another Disney memory to my scrapbook! He was so adorable as a puffy little Mickey Mouse! I wish the costume would fit him again this year but I don’t think that will be happening! I will definitely be keeping it forever! He was the most adorable baby Mickey!
Ready to Make New Disney Memories
A person can never have too many Disney memories! J and I are already planning W’s first trip to Disney World. I’m pretty sure W’s first movie in the theaters will be a Disney movie. J and W have already watched Beauty and the Beast together at least once! Bring on the Disney memories!
In the name of making new memories, I’m thrilled to share that I will be headed to Los Angeles in a few weeks to make some brand new Disney memories! Not too long ago, I got an email that read, Disney Invites You to Los Angeles. And I cried. Yes, I’ll admit it. I cried because I felt so blessed.
I had found out that one of my best blogging friends, Staci from 7 on a Shoestring had gotten invited before I had even checked my email after work. I was so excited for her! She is an amazing person and I knew she would have a blast! So when I opened my own email to see an invitation, I was just overwhelmed. I’m a slightly emotional person sometimes (which means all the time, by the way).
Formula Mom at the #DisneyMoviesEvent
Thanks to an absolutely amazing PR rep, Marshall, I will be on a trip that is sure to go down in the memory books. I’ll be flying from Houston to Los Angeles and staying at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Yes, little old me will finally make it to Hollywood. If you knew me when I was growing up, you know that this will partially fulfill a childhood dream. Then I’ll be having dinner with 24 other bloggers! Some I know like Staci and Tiffany from Fabulous Finds and some that I don’t! I have learned that I love connecting with fellow bloggers so I’m looking forward to getting the chance to meet them all!
The rest of my trip includes staying very busy!
- We will be interviewing cast members from Frankenweenie and attending a red carpet premiere of the movie! I’ll be looking for Sparky and Mr. Whiskers!
- We will be participating in a press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios to talk with filmmakers and animators about Wreck-It Ralph and the animated short Paperman.
- We’ll also be catching a sneak peek of Disney/Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. 3D on the Walt Disney Studios lot!
You can follow my adventures using the hashtag #DisneyMoviesEvent. I’ll be tweeting, blogging, and abusing Instagram from Los Angeles the last week of September! But the excitement is already building! I went to the movies with J this weekend and might have squealed a little when we saw the Wreck-It Ralph preview! Oh and I already instagrammed the Frankenweenie banner that was hanging from the ceiling at the theater!
Oh, maybe W can be Wreck-It Ralph for Halloween this year. If I picked is hair out… it might be close. He definitely likes to smash things so this could work! But enough about that…
Which #DisneyMoviesEvent film are you most excited about? Do you have a favorite Disney memory?
Formula Mom Disclosure: I was invited to attend the #DisneyMoviesEvent press event as a guest of Disney. Most of my expenses were paid and no other compensation has been provided. All experiences and opinions are 100% my own.
