January Photo A Day Challenge Day 2
It’s on to day 2 of the #7SDDphotoaday January Photo a Day Challenge. I’m hanging in there! Making it to the second day is often the biggest challenge. So I’m feeling fairly good about this challenge. I think I could continue for quite a while. Hopefully for all 31 days!
Did you guess what the word of the day was based on my photo?
Fresh.
I pondered what to do with the word fresh. It can mean so many things. A fresh start. Fresh food. It also makes me think of freshwater although that is pretty random. So decided to look up the meaning of the word fresh.
fresh adjective \ˈfresh\
a : having its original qualities unimpaired: as (1) : full of or renewed in vigor : refreshed <rose fresh from a good night’s sleep> (2) : not stale, sour, or decayed <fresh bread> (3) :not faded <the lessons remain fresh in her memory> (4) : not worn or rumpled <a fresh white shirt>
b : not altered by processing <fresh vegetables>
I was working on a chore that isn’t my favorite. Folding laundry. But I do love the smell of clean clothes fresh from the dryer. It might be one of my favorite things! So I went with it. Thinking outside the box a little? Perhaps!
But now I’ve looked at the word fresh too long and it doesn’t look right to me. Has that ever happened to you? I blame this photo a day challenge but it sure is fun!
What does the word fresh mean to you?

Thanks for the reminder that I need to do laundry!

I have never done a photo a day challenge, but it sounds like fun. If it were summer I would’ve done fruit for fresh, but since it’s midwinter laundry definitely works!

I was bad and missed the first day! I slept most of the day, truth be told, and spent the rest snuggling with my boyfriend. I get to nap very rarely so it was a welcome opportunity! I’m writing 750 words everyday in 2013 and taking at least one photo a day.
I look forward to meeting you at the tweetup this weekend!
The only time I enjoy laundry is at the laundry mat. It seems like a never-ending battle when I try to do it at home. My two year old is a one man laundry unfolding machine!… my favorite is that “just washed with fabric softener” smell on my sheets. I think I change my sheets a few times a week just so I can smell it
