Houston Hobbit Fan Party

Houston Area Hobbit Fan Party

The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey is headed to theaters soon. While I won’t be at any midnight screenings, I know quite a few people who will be. I would prefer go later and not have to camp out in line. But for hardcore fans, I know that is part of the experience. And there are ticket line parties in the works apparently.

But there is something even more exciting in the works! Entertainment Nation is hosting Hobbit-inspired Tolkien Fan Parties at select movie theaters nationwide at 10pm before the midnight showings on December 13th! And a party is being held at the Rave Yorktown 15 in the Copperfield area.

Hobbit Opening Night Party

The Hobbit-inspired party will include merriment, free food, free drinks, and valuable Tolkien door prizes! You can also dress in your best Hobbit-inspired attire and enter to win the costume contest! There will be green screen photos so you can appear in a Tolkien-themed photo as well. What a great souvenir!

The party is sponsored by Panera Bread, Edible Arrangements, and Katz Coffee. And after the party, you can head into the theater to check out the film! Turn opening night into an event and make some wonderful memories!

You can purchase tickets here. For $49, you get admission to the party, all the shenanigans, and a ticket to see the movie at midnight. For $59, you can purchase a VIP ticket which gives you the extra opportunity to reserve your favorite seat in the movie theater! Use the code HOUSTON to take advantage of buy one, get one free! All ticket purchases enter you for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the 2013 “Celebrating the Hobbit” conference at Valparaiso University as well!
