Going Back to School with Ivy Bridge College

As a teacher, I definitely feel that education is important. But not everyone can do it the same way. Life has a way of throwing itself in the middle of things sometimes. I actually finished my Bachelor’s degree through an online program and then received my teaching certification through an alternative certification program. When I got an itch to get my Master’s degree, I knew it had to be through an online program. I was teaching full-time and for the last 9 months of my program, I was pregnant with W. So when I learned about Ivy Bridge College, I was intrigued.

Ivy Bridge College is an awesome option for busy moms who are thinking about going back to school. I know what it’s like to be working full-time and have a child while finishing school. But I would never change what I did. It is great to know what I accomplished in both my academic life and my personal life. Now if I could earn a Master’s degree in being a mom I would have it all figured out!

  1. I returned to school when my oldest was almost a year. I did all of my undergrad online so I wouldn’t take away from my family. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in 2011 and started in my Master’s program right away. Fortunately, I was able to find a blended classroom setting where most of my work is online and I only have to go to campus one weekend per month. It’s a win-win. I am not taking away from family and I am still able to obtain an education! :)
