iPhones, iPods, and iPads are just a fact of life these days. Every single time I see a child rolling around in a stroller with an iPad, I cringe.
Now I have no problem with kids using technology from a young age. It’s just a fact of life and it can be an amazing educational tool. I cringe because I just picture an iPad tumbling from a stroller to an unfortunate death!
We’ve experienced the tragic shattering of an iPhone when W dropped it on the tile kitchen floor so I’ve felt the heartache. Luckily it was J’s old iPhone and we could probably get the screen repaired. But at the time it made me shudder because technology is expensive!
Fisher-Price comes to the rescue with the Laugh & Learn Apptivity cases for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad!
The case is extremely sturdy to protect your iPhone or iPod touch from drool, teething, unwanted calls, and pressing the home button repeatedly! The case also has busy beads and a mirror to encourage age-appropriate play. It’s also very easy to use!
We received the Apptivity case to try right before we left on a long weekend trip to San Antonio. It was absolutely perfect timing! We have an extra iPod touch that W can use. I’ve put the free Laugh & Learn apps on and I wanted to take it in the car with us. There was just one problem.
The boy is obsessed with the home button!
With this case, we don’t have that problem. There is one small challenge with the case. You need a coin handy to open it. You have to open it to put the iPod or iPhone in the case and to turn the device on or off. So, grab a quarter and you’ll be good to go!
All I had to do was turn on the iPod and choose the app I wanted for W. Then I set it in the case and closed the back with my quarter. I would prefer if the case could be opened without the help of a coin but then I’m sure W would figure out how to open it!
As you can see the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Apptivity Case works for us! W can hold it easily. He’s currently getting the last of his molars so we’re in the thick of teething. He loves chewing on the purple handles of the case. Anything that gives him some relief makes me a happy mom!
We took the iPod in the car to San Antonio with us and it was great to have! W was able to play with one of his Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn apps while we drove. Then he played with the rings on the case for a while as well. It was great time have during our car trip. We only had to make one stop on the way!
The Fisher-Price Apptivity case is compatible with a variety of Apple devices!
It’s compatible with your iPhone®, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPod touch® 2nd, 3rd & 4th generation. Fisher-Price also makes a Laugh & Learn Apptivity Case for iPad that I cannot wait to try! W loves my iPad and as I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I have a fear of it falling to the ground.
The Apptivity Case for iPhone and iPod is available for $15 on the Fisher-Price website. I’ve also seen it in a few local stores as well! I was hesitant to buy it but now I’m so glad we tried it out! Until W is old enough to ease our worries about him dropping things, the Apptivity Case has saved the day!
When would you use a Fisher-Price Apptivity case?
