I will start by admitting that I have a huge sweet tooth and I love dessert! I’ll also admit that I have to be in a special mood to spend a lot of time in the kitchen making dessert. I’m always on the hunt for quick and easy dessert ideas that the entire family can enjoy! Desserts like brownies and jello are definitely the types of things I’m more likely to whip up. Adding a dollop of COOL WHIP Whipped Topping to the top of easy desserts like these add a little something special to them!
Sometimes I like to do something that’s a little bit more interesting but I’m still always on the lookout for ideas that are quick and easy! Recently I discovered a recipe that I was sure my entire family would enjoy and the main ingredient was COOL WHIP! Even better was the fact that it only takes about 10 minutes to prepare this sweet and easy fruit salad!
Easy Fruit Salad Recipe
What you need:
1 container COOL WHIP whipped topping
1 package Sugar Free vanilla pudding
1 can of mixed fruit, drained
1 can of mandarin oranges, drained
1 banana, sliced
The great thing about this recipe is that you can change up the fruit mix to work best for your family’s favorite flavors!
What you do:
- Empty entire container of COOL WHIP into large bowl. Mix in pudding mix.
- Add in drained canned fruit and sliced banana. Mix gently until fruit is coated.
- Chill and serve!
I recommend chilling the fruit salad for at least a few hours before serving although W tried it before it event went into the refrigerator to be chilled and was a huge fan! This recipe is so quick and easy to make that it is definitely one of those everyday desserts that I could make whenever we get a craving for something sweet!
One thing I love about this COOL WHIP recipe is that it is easy to change up and adapt for a different taste! I have already started thinking of different ingredients to add. Coconut seems like an obvious one but J isn’t a fan so we’ll probably skip it. I would like to try adding in some nuts next time or try making it will all fresh fruit like banana, strawberry, and pineapple! This is one recipe that I will be making again and again!
How do you use COOL WHIP in your family’s desserts? Are you the dollop type? Do you have a great COOL WHIP recipe that your family loves?
