Have you been looking for a chocolate shortcake recipe that is quick and easy? How about one that is low-calorie? Yes, you read that correctly. You can make that adorable chocolate shortcake in less than 5 minutes and it’s very low-calorie. It’s just another recipe I’m adding to my list of “semi-homemade” goodies I make for my family.
What you need:
- Premade dessert shells (they are in the bakery department of my store)
- Jell-O Chocolate Sugar-Free Chocolate Mousse cups (or chocolate pudding cups)
- Fat Free Redi-Whip
What you do:
- Spoon half of a chocolate mousse cup into one dessert shell.
- Top with Redi-Whip.
- Serve.

Yes, it’s that easy! I told you! Each of these little shortcakes has just under 150 calories too! If you’re looking for a version without artificial sweeteners, just use a pudding cup instead of the sugar-free mousse! You can also use full fat Redi-Whip.
Oh… you know what this was a missing? A cherry on top!
What recipe to whip up when you need a quick dessert option?
I’ve also made a peach shortcake version if you’re looking for more quick, low-calorie dessert ideas!

so easy, I’ve been looking for really simple desserts, especially something that involves chocolate.
