Feeling Patriotic with Cost Plus Red, White and Blue in London Sweepstakes

I was thrilled when we moved further north from where we had been living because our new house is located very close to some great shopping and I love to shop! I had never lived close to a Cost Plus World Market so I didn’t get to go very often but that all changed when we moved last October! Now Cost Plus World Market is less than 5 minutes away! With Memorial Day on my mind and the 4th of July right around the corner, I was thrilled when I saw the Americana decor that was available at World Market! We were in dire need of a festive centerpiece for our dining room table. My mom and I love to change centerpieces with the holidays and we didn’t have anything patriotic!

I knew the one thing I wanted was the flag garland because I just fell in love with the picture when I was browsing online so I was on a mission! We wanted to create a centerpiece and treat the family to some classic American food in honor of Memorial Day! I was thinking hamburgers or hot dogs and potato chips. It’s a meal that just screams summer and family to me. So I was also on the hunt for items that might go along with that meal. One thing I love about World Market is that they have great home decor and international food items! It’s so fun to go and browse all of the interesting products they offer.

Shopping for Americana at Cost Plus World Market

As soon as we walked in the store, I spotted the Americana decor in its own display area to the right of the entrance. I was on the hunt for my garland but also spotted some great pieces that could look great depending on the look you’re going for in your home. I’m always on the lookout for decorative items for our table, the mantle above the fireplace, and our entryway.

I was actually a bit disappointed in the selection available at my store but I managed to find some things that would make a great centerpiece when combined with a few pieces we already had at home. I did find my garland so I was a happy girl!

In the store they had the garland displayed on the patio umbrella and I think that ours might be finding its way to the deck for the 4th of July!

Shopping Goes Americana at World Market!

I was excited to turn all of our goodies into an amazing table setting in honor of Memorial Day! We also got some dip and hot dogs to go along with our festive chips from World Market! It was time to get creative and turn a box of supplies into some great home decor!

Cost Plus World Market Dining Table Makeover

I loved what my mom and I put together with pieces from Cost Plus World Market and from around our home. It’s all about mixing and matching when it comes to decorating without breaking the bank. That’s one thing my mom and I have learned over the past 10 years of taking on do-it-yourself projects!

Enjoying family time!

Then it was dinner time and everyone enjoyed the simple meal! I loved the red, white, and blue decor that I found at Cost Plus World Market! It will all work great for the 4th of July but I will have to find a way to change it up a bit from what we did for Memorial Day!

  1. Never knew you could buy red, white and blue chips! I’m from Canada so I guess I wouldn’t need the blue ones for Canada Day. :)
