I have to begin this review by admitting that the reason I was first interested in trying a Swaddlebees cloth diaper is because of the cute factor! While researching cloth diapers when I was pregnant with W, I ran across a site selling a Swaddlebees diaper in the owls print and I fell in love. Just look at these great prints!

Swaddlebees Simplex Cloth Diaper I would love to have a diaper in every single one of these prints (although I have no need for the more girly ones, they are still adorable!) and it is hard for me to choose a favorite. When the opportunity came for W to try a Swaddlebees One Size Simplex All-In-One, I had some difficult decisions to make!

Not many cloth diaper brands offer this kind of variety in prints that are suitable for boys so I was thrilled. I have always loved the owls ans stars but the monkeys and dinos are definitely some of my favorites. I finally settled on the monkeys because I thought it would also work as a gender neutral print in case we have a daughter in the future! Although I would put my girl in a dinosaur diaper because check out how cute that print is! But seriously, I appreciate the fact that Swaddlebees offers such a large variety of prints that are appropriate for both boys and girls because one reason I enjoy cloth diapering is the cute factor!

The Swaddlebees One Size Simplex cloth diaper is an all-in-one diaper that combines the convenience of an all-in-one diaper while providing the absorbency adjustability of a pocket diaper.

The Simplex has pocket openings on both ends that allow you to adjust the diaper’s absorbency by adding extra inserts.  This design also makes it so the inserts will agitate out of the diaper in the wash. This type of design has become one of my favorites because the inserts actually do come out on their own! I didn’t believe it until I had tried it!  One side of the soaker pad is attached which keeps it from getting all mixed up in the wash.

Swaddlebees Simplex It is made with a waterproof outer layer and 10 layers of 100% cotton birdseye fabric in the wet zone. The cotton birdseye fabric sets it apart from other diapers I have and I noticed it right away when I got the diaper out. I love knowing that the cotton is there and this diaper has worked extremely well for us! If you prefer a more stay-dry fabric closest to your baby, the soaker has a stay-dry fleece layer and you can pull the soaker out and lay it on top. I love the flexibility that comes with this design! It allows you to have the fabric that is best for your child closest to their skin!

Swaddlebees The Swaddlebees One Size Simplex is one of the cloth diapers designed to fit babies weighing 10-35 pounds. With W currently weighing in at 31 pounds, I was interested to see what kind of fit we would get. I remember the days when we needed to use the snaps to make our diapers smaller. Those days are long gone and now I hope that the rise will be enough with the diaper at its largest setting. This diaper has passed that test! We get a great fit with the Swaddlebees One Size Simplex!

The rise works great for us as it’s not too low but also not too high. As W has gotten older, he wears more shirts and pants so I look for diapers that aren’t going to rise above the waistband of his pants. This cloth diaper works great and even survived a marathon nap time! We haven’t had any red marks and we haven’t had any leaks. Since W started walking and crawling on everything, I learned that not every diaper works as well as it once did but our Swaddlebees Simplex has even passed that test! I am extremely pleased with how this diaper works for us and highly recommend it if you’re looking for an all-in-one cloth diaper that you can also stuff!

You can learn more about the entire line of Swaddlebees cloth diapers on their website and get connected with them on Facebook and Twitter!

Buy it!

You can purchase the Swaddlebees Simplex All-in-One Cloth Diaper for $25.95 on the Swaddlebees website. Although I am always on the hunt for a good deal and an affordable diaper, based on my experience this diaper is worth the price.
