This weekend, the epic action of the classic naval combat game will unfold in theatres nationwide with the release of Universal Pictures’ “Battleship,”starring Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, Liam Neeson and recording superstar, Rihanna! I will admit that I’m excited to see this movie and so is J! I’m not sure we have the same reasons for wanting to go because mine might involve the movie’s eye candy!
Classic Battleship Movie Edition
Once you’ve seen the movie, you can continue the fun at home with the Classic Battleship Movie Edition game! I enjoy a good game of Battleship even if I’m not great at the game. J and I have been playing on our phones and iPod. With the movie edition of Battleship, you can choose to command either the Navy or Alien fleet and can unleash brand new super weapon cards to destroy their opponent with attacks like those from the big screen! It’s a great twist on an old classic. One of my favorite features is that the game comes in a convenient carrying case! More games need to come with a carrying case!
With the KRE-O Battleship Combat Chopper set, kids can pretend to take their missions to the skies, complete with a KREON fighter pilot and KREON alien figure. Once the chopper has been constructed, kids can push the lever to spin the rotor and launch missiles at incoming alien attacks like their favorite action heroes from the movie!

One of my favorite features of this set is the spinning rotor! There are so many different block sets available and when I was a kid I have so many different sets. My favorites were always the sets that had a little something special and the spinning rotor was perfect on the KRE-O Battleship Combat Chopper because every chopper needs a rotor that works! Otherwise it’s just not quite realistic enough for me!
