My Mailbox is Full of Love with Card Showers from Hallmark!

I must admit that I love the thrill of snail mail! I love coming home from work and opening the mailbox to find something other than advertisements and bills! Recently, I came home to discover a large number of envelopes in with the daily mail. It wasn’t Christmas so they weren’t Christmas cards even though I recognized the envelopes as greeting card envelopes. When I flipped through them and found that they were all addressed to me, I couldn’t help but smile.

As I opened envelope after envelope that afternoon, I found read card after cute card from my Hallmark PR friends! The cards and little notes just made me smile and definitely turned an ordinary day into a pretty great day! It’s amazing what an unexpected greeting card (or ten) can do for a person!

Hallmark Card Shower

I was a lucky recipient of a Hallmark Card Shower! Card Showers by Hallmark help people organize a group card shower for a designated recipient. It’s a great way to send well wishes, thank yous, and support in tough times or times of celebration. Hallmark’s service is the first online service to help organize and track your own card shower! Card Showers would be great for special events such as a new baby and graduation. It would also be very meaningful when wanting to send get well wishes or sympathies to a friend in need.

Organizing your own card shower is a very simple process! To get started, visit and give your event a name! Select the type of occasion (they even offer an other category to meet all of your needs) and the date you would like the cards to arrive! You can then invite participants via email and Facebook, tell them who the Card Shower is for, where the cards should be mailed, and when to mail them.

Hallmark tracks the responses for you including where your participants will be shopping (in-store or online) and whether or not they have mailed their cards. The event page also allows the participants to post comments and photos and share stories and memories about the recipient! Participants can also invite additional people to get involved in the event.

I love the online card shopping option because it makes it very easy to participate in a card shower! If a participant opts to buy online, they will be directed to and a selection of cards that matches the type of event the coordinator has chosen. The card can be customized online, paid for, and then Hallmark will stamp it and send it to any US address! In the end, the lucky recipient receives a shower of cards that reminds them of all the people who are thinking about them! It’s so simple and it definitely makes a person feel special!
