Boba Air Newest Boba Wrap

Meet the BobaAir

I am thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Boba Wrap Family — the BobaAir! I have been the babywearing type since W was small! We were huge fans of our Boba Baby Carrier 3G. So I was excited to try the newest Boba product. You might be wondering about the photo above. Where is the carrier?

It’s in the pouch! No seriously!

The BobaAir fits right into that pouch! It is perfect for busy parents or for travel! Don’t believe me? I can prove it!

BobaAir is Perfect for Travel

Baby Carrier for On the Go

The BobaAir is extremely lightweight and actually fits into a travel pouch that is perfect for the diaper bag or glove compartment! I will admit that one thing that stops me from wearing W from time to time is that I have to lug our carrier around with me. It’s not huge but it is on the bulky side when you’ve got other things to carry. Problem solved with BobaAir!

It weighs less than a pound! It’s made of high-tech nylon fabric that is easy to clean. It’s also water-resistant which is great when we’re outdoors! But there is one thing that thrilled me even more…

BobaAir 45 pound weight limit

45 pound Weight Limit

The BobaAir has a 45 pound weight limit which means I can still carry W in it! He weight in at 35 pounds at his 18-month appointment. Weight limits are definitely something I pay attention to when it comes to baby and toddler products. I was so excited because there are times when I would love to wear W but I want him to be safe.

A baby carrier that I could carry in the diaper bag and would hold W? I was ready to try it! W has been worn in a while so I was hoping he was ready too!

BobaAir Baby Carrier

Easy to Use

Like my other Boba Carrier, the BobaAir was easy to put on. The carrier comes with a manual that includes easy to follow directions. I wasn’t worry about this part though! I can handle a front carry with ease. That’s what I decided to try with W. In the past he has only liked being in a front carry if he can be forward facing.

Lately he has been so clingy that I thought I would try the front carry even though he has to face in with the BobaAir.

BobaAir works great for larger babies

BobaAir Works Great for Bigger Babies

W was a huge fan! He was all smiles and curled up against me. This might be a lifesaver again on those rough days. Babywearing got us through tough teething days last summer. It just might work again!

I love the lightweight fabric but I wondered about the comfort for me. 35 pounds is a lot to carry! I was able to wear him around the house for half an hour without any issues! The straps are not as padded as on my other Boba Carrier but that is why it can travel so well! I didn’t have any complaints because the carrier was still comfortable for both W and I!

Bringing Mom and Baby Closer

With the BobaAir in our home, I can definitely see myself wearing W more. Instead of a diaper bag when we go out these days, I usually use my purse for short trips. I throw in a diaper, sippy cup, and some cars. Then we’re off! Now I could throw in the BobaAir and be prepared!

The BobaAir would have been perfect for all of the traveling we have done with W over the past 6 months. It would also be great for families that like to spend time outdoors but don’t want to lug a bigger carrier with them.

Back Carry with the Boba Carrier

I have a confession to make. I am not supermom. Stop the presses! I know, it’s a bit disappointing but there is one skill I have not mastered in my 19 months of motherhood.

I cannot put W in a back carry on my own!

Nope, I just can’t do it.

Boba provides some fabulous instructions on how to do it in their manual. But I am just not coordinated enough. J has to help me. But i love that we can do a back carry with W in the BobaAir and we will be doing it soon! For now, he has been content with a front carry. I think it’s because we can hug for hours in it!

Wow, my daughter has outgrown her infant carrier, but she is still too small to continually walk everywhere on her own. I’ve been looking for a carrier that would still work with her 26 lbs and be comfortable for both her and me for those trips to the zoo or National Parks. This may just be our solution!

We’re moving to our new place that is only 1.6 miles from my sister-in-law. Their kids love going to the park that is right next door, and I would love to take our little one to join them!

  3. Christy Geis says

I would use this everywhere! It would always stay in my diaper bag so I’d have it everywhere I go.

  4. zene says

My guy wants to be carried instead of sitting in a stroller or grocery cart or walking! He is VERY heavy 30+lbs and my sling was just lost on a family vacation :( my Fil lifted it with a towel and sent it with housekeeping. Beyond heartbroken.

  5. Alessandra Peterson says

I would love to use this carrier for traveling as it packs up smaller than my other carriers!

  6. Victoria Loaiza says

I would use it for trips to the beach. It’s a pain to take a stroller and I have enough to lug around to the beach as it is without adding a big carrier…this would be perfect.

  7. Amanda Alvarado says

This would be perfect to use in church! Right now I lug around my ergo because I know dd isn’t going to sit still for the entire service! This would be so much easier to carry with us – I can throw it in my purse!

  8. Beth R says

This would be perfect for us to take to our local petting zoo. Lots of things for our oldest but the youngest gets so tired and babywearing is the only way to go

  9. Beth Ann says

I would wear this EVERYWHERE! It would make it much easier to take my puppy out for a walk while my husband is away on deployments and not have to leave anyone behind. :)

  10. Meg Jameson says

like you, so many times I would have packed the kid around on my back or front…hiking, farmers markets, traveling, camping, the list could potentially be endless!

  11. Lily Ivey says

I can’t back carry on my own either, but I’m still a novice babywearer. Hopefully I will master it soon. I love our Boba 3G, but I agree in that it can be bulky to carry around in the diaper bag. I would love to try the Air and would probably use on short shopping trips.

  12. Nikole H. says

This would be great to have on hand for the unexpected times — when you don’t think you’ll need a carrier, but really do ;)

  13. samantha clinton says

i would love to have this for my diaper bag!!! i somehow ALWAYS forget to have my carrier when i most need it!!! would be awesome to be able to have one so small to have!!

  14. Roxanne Williamson says

I would give this to my daughter who is expecting a second baby in October. The first one is only 18 months so it would free her hands up alittle.

  15. Tara says

With a baby on the way and a very active toddler I could see myself using this carrier everywhere! We love taking trips to the zoo, and walking around our local parks!

  16. Tim Stephens says

Wow… the idea that you could have this around anytime you need it is awesome… We have a second on the way in Nov. and our first will be 2.5 then so we’ll need a baby carrier for sure. I would use this around the house for chores and out at family functions…

  17. Lindsay Oussa says

We are moving and it is a 20 hour drive :/ I would be bringing it on the car trip since it would take up no space in the car :)

  18. Julia says

This sounds great for getting the father into babywearing, as the little carrier we have now doesn’t suit him very well. The high weight limit sounds even better.

  19. Kat says

I love carrying my baby on walks but my moby is too hot in the summer so the bobs air would probably be my go to carrier around the neighborhood.
But, it looks like the weight is carried very high on the back is it comfortable to use regularly?

  20. Britni Bradford says

I would use this everywhere if I won. outside when hanging up cloth diapers, grocery shopping, playdates to the zoo, etc. we don’t have a carrier yet. i would love to babywear.

  21. says

Where wouldn’t I wear this!? This would probably be my go-to for errands because it would let me just keep it stashed in my diaper bag!

  22. Erin E says

This would be fantastic for trips to the animal park! Thank you for the lovely giveaway!
