Summer is here. It means more time with friends, family, and pests!
I hope I’m not alone in recent battles against some pesky little critters… wait, I do hope I’m alone so no one has to deal with what we have been dealing with the past few weeks!
At our old house we had an ant problem but at our new house we’ve had an entirely different issue… fleas!
Warm winter = pesky pest party!
With the warm winter we had, there were hardly any freezes so it seems like the pests are at record levels. In our neighborhood and the ones around us, we have been battling a flea invasion! We were hoping to escape without having any issues but were not that lucky. After spending a chunk of change on additional treatment for our yard, we are now on a very limited budget when it comes to home repair and maintenance for the next few months.
Fleas aren’t the only little pests we see sneaking around inside and outside our house so I have been looking into alternatives for calling in the big guns again. Ants are the number one pests that will invade homes this summer (source: National Pest Management Association) so I would recommend that you take some proactive steps to prevent an attack.

It’s gotta be ants. They seem to come from nowhere and bring a million with them. I am always finding them in the cat food and ruining their food or sneaking their way to the kitchen counter.
